There’s a new Sheriff, um… strike that – a new Fire Chief in town. MySafe:LA would like to congratulate new LAFD Fire Chief Kristen Crowley on her new appointment as the senior leader for the Los Angeles City Fire Department. She takes over from now retired Chief Ralph Terrazas.
“Chief Crowley is a terrific visionary and is a warm and engaged fire officer,” said David Barrett, Executive Director and Commander for MySafe:LA. “I’ve known her for more than a decade, and every interaction has been filled with ideas that have lead to progress and results. Add in her empathy and ability to listen to the members, and it’s a terrific recipe for success.”
Because MySafe:LA is so focused on diversity, children and their futures, as well as creating an equal footing for all persons in Los Angeles, the appointment of Chief Crowley supports the messaging our public safety officers share during classroom and public presentations and training. We look forward to working with the Chief in new and innovative ways as our respective organizations look to the future.
